The word INTERROGATION suggests force, brutality and torture in some form or another. However, there are other processes for finding out more.
This blanket heading is a gateway to several distinctly different
forms of information gathering.
Question & Answer
Face-to-face Q&A sessions can be conducted on various levels of
intensity or informality. Physical coercion, bullying, menace and sensuary
softening-up is a topic well-covered via links to INTERROGATION (Links
at the end of this page)
Alternative
scenarios include more gentle Q&A sessions which aim to learn what
people like and dislike, or the extent of their capabilities / preferences;
all of which can make game-playing more potent on several levels.
A few excerpts from fiction-based-on-fact storylines listed under the
heading Q&A INDEX describe different approaches.
The manner and the means used
Choosing your preferred means of conduct fact finding sessions and then practicing it, can be stimulating for all involved, although perhaps not always comfortable for the person being questioned. The examples given in the Q&A INDEX range from brutal softening-up sequences, through delicately contrived inducement to co-operate, and different levels of informal verbal probing about likes-and-dislikes so that future inter-action can hit the right spots.
Advance Information gathering
Q&A sessions via internet, post or phone can be an enjoyable end
in themselves - or open the way to more satisfactory first meeting -
or no meeting. Formal questionnaire forms or lists to be completed can
be a trip in themselves; knowing what questions to ask can avoid misunderstandings.
Examples of formal questionnaires are a matter of personal preference.
The topic is worth further development on this site.
Mutual Consent
In any face-to-face simulated Q&A scene, the degree of physical or emotional intensity must be left to the individuals. This implies no element of Political Correctitude on my part. If the consenting adults want to play heavy-handed games in the present legal climate, the absurdities of the current legal system in Britain on the question of 'consent' should not prevent them.
But, on the other hand, pre-agreement and staying within agreed parameters
is an essential safety mechanism. The file on different degrees of consent
has some material already in it (particularly the topic of "consensual
non-consent), but there will be more to follow - because this topic
is a prime factor in everything related to this site: MUTUAL CONSENT
an absolute must.
Indexing
'Interrogation' in the more demanding sense of the word is also strongly
connected to several related topics via the army pages. Training in
escape-and-evasion, resistance to capture and interrogation, general
survival courses and even civilian toughening-up adventure training
facilities can involve testing capability to withhold information or
successfully supply misleading information. The inter-linking of these
'topics' is in an early state of Indexing.
Q&A INDEX
Still in the early stages of development, this contains several storylines already. These describe episodes where different forms of questioning are used. It's the best starting point at present - and will be up-dated regularly as more information on related "Q&A" topics comes in.
