The classic myth of the medieval Chastity Belt worn by women for weeks if not years at a time, just doesn't stand up to serious investigation. Sweat and bodily functions inside metal would have produced rusting and skin damage. Pictured (Left) are two nicely crafted reproductions which seem to prove the point. Fun for an occasional game - impractical for long-term wear.

The general configuration is workable with or with a central or two separate back straps if the waist belt will not side down over the hip bones.

Several excellent modern interpretations (right) for men and for women, especially ones made from metal lined with neoprene, can be made to fit well and be virtually escape-proof if the locks are of good quality.

AS AN ANCHOR-POINT internal penis sheath and butt-plug can contribute to the efficiency of several very workable and well crafted versions currently on the market.

Securing the penis inside the front panel can be achieved in several ways, pointing either up or downwards. If the testicles are housed inside rather than out this reduces the chances of self-stimulation.
But, if the device fits properly, an erection can be painful when trapped inside - which is a deterrent to self-stimulation.

Whether or not a device can be worn under street clothes in public depends on the front profile. Flattening the trapped cock-and-balls may shorten the time a device can be worn safely.

Solid cannisters of different shapes (right) can be painful and humiliating.

LEATHER VERSIONS built on the same principles as the above, can offer a less costly and perhaps more comfortable alternative. Though not as reassuringly secure as metal, without destroying an expensive item they can be proof against even the most determined Houdini.

Built around a semi-rigid stomach 'triangle' with a hole through which cock-and-balls are threaded before being secured by a retaining strap around the scrotum.
(Left) The soft leather jock-cover is then zipped closed before being locked to the waist belt. The cover has a removable rigid liner to prevent self-stimulation.

(Right) A more secure version of this has metal strips riveted to all edges and the is leather more rigid - which is why it's called a 'Hard Jock'.

METAL ATTACHMENTS riveted to leather strappery adds an extra dimension.

(Top left) Solid steel penis pipe with a barred end makes an erection painful if not impossible. A single ratchet handcuff locks behind the scrotum before the back strap is finally tightened and locked (with or without a butt-plug and plug retainer attached).

(Lower left) A coil of rigid wire makes an effective penis cage. A seriously frustrating device.

(Right) In the top design, a metal pouch covered on both sides with leather prevents finger stimulation. Thigh straps have been added to both this and the wire cage version below.

THIGH, WRIST & ELBOW STRAPS added to any of the leather 'jocks' pictured above can intensify bedroom games.

The artist's impressions (right) show a front plate with hole for cock and balls to be pulled through before being strapped, penis upwards and scrotum secured below the hole. The cover as drawn would not prevent fingering, it would need to be cup-shaped.

(Top left) Design shows locked waist, thigh and through-crotch straps with penis laced into a soft sheath which can then be secured downwards between the legs. To be encouraged to get hard while held in this device can be painful for the wearer and amusing for the encourager.

(Lower left) To intensify frustration, for a male with his penis immobilised and locked away to be sucked off on a plastic penis (or made to fuck with it) could be a special sort of power-trip.

LOCKABLE GARMENTS is a whole topic in itself (see Index). The design (top left) shows shorts with locked waist, soft external ball sack and strapped penis sheath and laced sides is something of a fetish fantasy rather than serious restraint.

The three photo show the totally practical (and comfortable) reality of 'Upfront Shorts'.
Cock-and-balls through hole in inner panel are secured before a semi-rigid cup jock is added and two side zips are closed and locked to lockable waist belt. This design can also have lockable thigh straps to prevent finger access - or the shorts extended into longer legs.

I added back access, closed by a lockable zipper down the crack of the ass as an optional extra!

HOME-MADE & IMPROVISED?
(Right) The excellently crafted metal briefs must have been a labour of love. They look (and probably felt) amazing - but was it possible to sit down in them? From a practical point of view, if the scrotum was anchored inside them they would have been impossible to remove. Anybody know who made them - and where are they now?

(Left) Moulded plastic - I assume attached to the genitals. More information on this would be welcomed.
Reminds me of a sportsman I knew who modified standard boxing and hockey groin-guards so they were lockable. An inexpensive alternative.

Athletic cups available from any sports store can be adapted or inserted into tight-fitting pants with a lockable waist-band (and perhaps the flies zipper made lockable?)
All a matter of imagination and ingenuity.

Here I'll introduce only a couple of dedicated devices designed to prevent penetrative sex and perhaps even erection

COCK-LOCKS & STALLION GUARDS.
The seriously efficient devices pictured (left) work for most people.

The 'Stallion Guard' (top right) is a lockable penis cage of metal rings which is anchored to a wide cock-ring, and scrotum shackle.

But, again, like many store-bought cock-and-ball toys, they either work for you or they don't. Very much a matter of trial and error.

(Photo right) Heavy duty genital piercing devices are not to everybody's taste, but two examples pictured certainly look as though they would be seriously efficient (add sources).
